Tables are set for a meal at Ilaniah.
1948
Tables are set for a meal at Ilaniah. The Ilaniah Children's Village was a JDC-supported orphanage for chldren of central and eastern European Jewish war victims. The population in the area of Apeldoorn gave the children a very warm welcome when they arrived. Here, children put on weight after being deprived of food and recovered from bad treatment and disease to return to "normalcy" before their immigration to Israel.
