First pictures of japanese Military Rebellion. These are the first pictures of the Japanese military uprising in which several leadingstatesmen were murdered. Rebel troops captured a number of Government buildings in Tokyoand held on for several days. When they were eventually forced to surrender, the ring-leaders commited suicide. Loyal Japanese troops using snow to fill sandbags as they prepared positions round a public building in Tokio where rebels were ensconsced. NI 1659
