' Burma. New Arakan Landing Takes 15th Indian Corps To Taungup. On March 13th troops of the 15th Indian Division supported by fighter bombers and the Navy, completely surprised the Japanese by landing eight miles up the Ma-Chiang, near the village of Latpan. The troops at once began to move down the coastal road towards Taungup 42 miles to the south, the last Japanese coastal supply base in the Arakan, which they captured exactily a month later.
