Facsimily of a letter of Cardinal Innitzer to district governor Buerckel to which the Austrian cardinal has added in handwriting änd Heil Hitler'. The letter reads: Dear District Governor, Enclosed I am sending proclamation of Austrian Bishops. You will see from this that we Bishops volunarily and without consulation fulfilled our national duty. I know that a good cooperation will follow this proclamation.
