From earliest childhood the German children were taught in the classroom to deify the Führer, to greet each other with 'Heil Hitler' and to swear alliance to him. Their textbooks falsified German history and glorified the Nazi Party. After the Nazis came to power, the curricula of all schools in the country were revised to include only those subjects useful for a faithful party member. Liberal education became a thing of the past, as Nazi teachers were substituted for well known professors and faculties who refused to cooperate with the party were forced out of their positions.
