U.S. authorities revealed January 24, 1945, that 75,000 French civilians are working for the U.S. Army. They are paid by the French Government on a Lend-Lease basis. In addition to these 75,000 workers, over 100,000 civilians have already registered in the U.S. Army services for employmemnt.
