U.S. troops move up through ruined St. Lo. A long line of military vehicles moves through the streets of St. Lo on their way to the front. St. Lo, which was one of the most important Nazi communication centers in Normandy, was captures by U.S. troops July 18, 1944, after bitting fighting.
