German defenses on Normandy beach. The remains of a tank trap, a shattered pillbox and deep cavities everywhere on the slope are all that is left of a strong German fortress on a Normandy beachhead through which the Allies forced their way. In the center of the tank trap ia a sign set up by the Germans warning of mines.
