Women fight with French Forces of the Interior. Womem members of the French Forces of the Interior, dressed in battle uniform and carrying grenades on their belts, chat on a Brittany street during a pause in the Battle of France. They act as guides and scouts for the Allied armies, and assist in mopping up Germans in captured towns. Supreme Allied Headquarters on Augstus 16, 1944, said that FFI units had been equipped with arms and armor and were helping the Allied twin drives against the enemy from the north and south of France.
