French nuns negotiate surrender of Nazis. American troops advancing on Avranches enter the grounds of a French convent where a group of German soldiers are hiding. Two nuns can be seen coming forward to meet the Americans to negotiat the surrender of the Nazis. A few minutes later, the Germans came out, hands over their heads.
