Allied refugee camp in France. A meeting of the self-government council of the Allied refugee camp in Briey, France, is presided over the British Captain F.G. Garret. More than 950 Russian, Polish, Lithuanian, Yugoslavian, Rumanian, Greek and Italian refugees are being sheltered at the camp by American, British and French officials. As soon as possible, supervision of the camp will assumed entirely by the French. The majority of the the refugees are civilians who are liberated from forced work batalions in Nazi mines and aircraft factories in France or escaped from labor camps in Germany.
