Sold shakes from the hand that shook the King's! John G.
13 juni 1939
Sold shakes from the hand that shook the King's! John G. Draganza of Rochester, Pennsylvania, a sergeant at the Civilian Conservation Corps camp at Fort Hunt, Virginia, exhibits well-justified high spirits after the visit of the Kind and Queen to the camp during their stay in Washington. The King shook hands with John, who was afterwards able to "sell" handshakes to other members of the camp for cigarettes, tobacco and other luxuries. His comrades were all anxious to shake the hand that shook the King's!
