America helps supply the United Nations. Americans send clothing to Russia. Under the auspices of Russian War Relief, Inc. clothing as well as food and medical supplies are being sent to the Soviet Union, augmenting military and industrial supplies sent by yhe U.S. government. Through a nation-wide program, residents from all parts of the U.S. send wearing apparel, including thousands of garments knitted by American women for Red soldiers, to U.S. centers for packing and transporting to Russia. Here a volunteer worker sorts clothes at a New York warehouse which packs an average of 30,000 pounds of clothing each week. Garments for men, women and children are packed separately to facilitate distribution.
