U.S. AIRLINER IS RECONVERTED FOR PASSENGER TRAFFIC. Workers in a U.S. West Coast airplane factory refit with seats and electrical equipment a former American Army transport plane for use by civilian passenger traffic. The plane is one of many taken over from commercial airlines by the U.S. Army Air Force at the outbreak of the war and which are being returned to them now that American aircraft factories have met the requirements of America and its Allies for all types of planes. Thoroughly overhauled, the reconvented planes will resume passenger and freight service. Their reconditioning is a forerunner of the commercial and industrial reconstruction that will follow the early defeat of the Axis.
