U.S. sailors board home-bound ship in admiralities. After preliminary processing for discharge at a Navy receiving ship at Manus in the Admiralty Islands, U.S. sailors board a transport for the United States. Upon arrival in the U.S., the men go to a separation center, then home. While awaiting transportation, the Navy men had access to many recreational facilities, as well as to a large Navy-operated school.
