Photographs of American bomberaction displayed in Moscow. Photographs of American bombers and of the damage they have done to German war industries interest a large crowd of visitors on the opening day of a display in Moscow, the capital of russia. The exhibition included photographs showing fires at German war factories, destroyed airdromes and wrecked aircraft plants. Soviet interest in U.S. air activity against the enemy has been heightened by the establishment in Russia of bases for American bombers. From these bases, heavy U.S. planes can raid enemy targets in the eastern Balkans and, on the completion of their mission, either return to Russian of fly on to bases in the Mediterranean war theater. On June 21, 1944, heavy American bombers, flying from Great Britain, landed on the U.S. air bases in the Soviet Union after blasting Berlin and other military targets in the eastern par of German-controlled Europe.
