U.S. Engineers improve China highways. Mountainous trails wind and twist across a valley east of Kunming, China, where the U.S. Army's famous Birma Road engineers are now improving highways for American supply ocnvoys to the China front. U.S. engineers, who built the Stilwell Road over the worst country in the world to end the land blockade of China, are now engaged with the assistance of Chinese highway authorities.
