King Alexander of Jugoslavia, assassinated at Marseilles. Shortly after his landing in Marseilles, King Alexander of Jugoslavia was brutally assassinated as he was riding in car with the French Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Louis Barthou, who also died from injuries received from assassins bullets. PHOTO: The officer seen riding at back of car, in endeavour to protect King cut of arm of chauffeur with his sword, whilst the latter was also trying to save the King.
