The man responsible for organisation of the Britisch effort on the Atomic Bomb. Sir Edward Appleton who as head of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research was responsible for the organisation of the Britisch effort on the new bomb, paid a tribute last night to the 'outstanding value of the team-work achieved'.
