Señor Giral now Spanish Premier - revolt spreads. Señor José Giral, who is strongly anti-Fascist, is Spain's third Premier in a few hours. He followed Señor Quiroga and Señor Barrios, both of whom resigned after brief periods of office. Señor Giral is attempting to deal with a situation which grows steadily worse. Many Spanish towns are now reported to be in the hands of the military rebels and the revolt is spreading. Heavy loss of life is stated to have occurred in the fighting.
