Reinefarth and Greiser captured. Former SS Lieutnant General Heinz Reinefarth (left), defender of Kuestrin, one of the last German strongholds east of Berlin, and Otto Greiser, former president of the city of Danzig, are shown shortly after their capture by men of the 42nd Infantry-Division, Seventh U.S. Army, in Austria. Greiser was formerly Nazi governor of the province of Pozen in Poland and was one of the original members of the Nazi party. Both the Germans were noted for their control.
