Hoover - before and after four years. Hoover just after he became President, the other nearly four years later. Which is which? Most people will probably choose the one at right as showing him at the end of his administration. But, believe it or not, the reverse is correct. The President has taken excellent care of himself in office, and appears in even better trim on leaving it than he did on entering. The photo at left (correct) shows him on Jan. 9, 1933. The one at right (correct) shows him at the beginning of his administration, March 26, 1929. The cut of his clothes is the same, except for the collar. Note he even ties the same type of knot in his cravat.
