Glenn L. Martin, noted U.S. airplane maker. Glenn L. Martin, one of America's outstanding aircraft designers and manufacturers, personally supervised the design and construction of many of the great bombing planes bearing his name which have helped destroy Axis cities and military plants. His planes are used in great numbers by both the U.S. Army and Navy.
