Japanese name Ken Tsurumi Chief Liaison Officer. Ken Tsurumi, 50, formerly First Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Shanghai, has been named by the Japanese as chief liaison officer to contact the staff of U.S. General of the Army Douglas MacArthur, Supreme Allied Commander, whose headquarters have been established in the New Grand Hotel in Yokohama, site of a huge naval base. Mr. Tsurumi entered the Japanese Foreign Office in 1922, was Japanese consul in the U.S. west coast city of Los Angeles in 1924, and served as attache at the Japanese Embassy in Washington, the U.S. capital, in 1927.
