U.S. ceremonies Mark seventh anniversary of China's fight against Japan. Civic and military leaders of Los Angeles, a U.S. West Coast city, pay tribute to the seventh anniversary of China's gallant fight against Japanese aggression. Dr. Wei Tao-Ming, Chinese Ambassador to the United States, was guest of honor at the ceremonies held on the city hall stops. Massed flags of the United Nations are in the background. Dr. Wei paid tribute to the "arsenal of democracy which is America and the spirit of victory of its people as they ceaselessly forge the weapons of war."
