She is believed to have been close to "Hitler" until the surrender, despite her statement that she had been the German leader's secretary only from 1936 to 1938. She was found living in seclusion with her parents when arrested in Uttingen, near Wurzburg, by local American investigators and turned over to the C.I.C.
