8 april 1922
Historic flagship of "Lord Nelson" to lift anchor for ever and have drydock home. The "Victory" Lord Nelson's flagship is to be drydocked at Portsmouth for a thorough examination. It will be impossible to move the victory one she is in drydock. The ship's future will depend on the condition in which she is found under the waterline. She was launched at Chatam in 1756 and has served as flagship at Portsmouth for nearly 100 years.
