Two hundred years old man O'War model for sale. A unique dockyard model of H.M.S. "Burford", the flagship of Admiral Vernon which took part in the capture of Porto Bello in 1739, is to be exhibited in London this year prior to its being offered for sale. This model which was built in 1723 carries its original flags and rigging, and has never been out of its case. In view of Admiral Vernon's friendship with the Washington familiy there is every probability of the model finding its way eventually to America. George Washington's brother, Lawrence, was actually with Admiral Vernon at the siege of Carthagena.
