Rescue of Chinese civilians from extremists, Serpong, Java. Recently a small patrol force of the Royal Netherlands Indies Army rescued many Chinese civilians from murder by Indonesian Extremists. They were brought across the Tjisadane river to the safety of Serpong village, where they were fed and cared for by their rescuers. The Chinese were able to salvage very few of their prossessions, but here is a party bringing a pig and some bedding across the Tjisadane river. NI 935
