Mater Dolorosa Hospital, Batavia, Java. This board bears the typewritten lists of people executed by the Japanese. It is on the wall off a building attached to the Mater Dolorosa Hospital where 34 sisters and nurses cared for over 13.000 patients during the Japanese occupation. The living conditions were indiscribable and the food, when, obtainable, was unfit for human consumption. NI 5832
