Outside it's war : Anne Frank and her world
Told through ten chapters, it outlines Anne's life before the war until her tragic end. It is penned in a way that makes it more universally understood. Anne's diary is more advanced and requires more thought and discussion. This book gives younger students the opportunity to get to know her and to learn her story. Each chapter is introduced with background information about what is happening in the world and with Anne's family. There are illustrations as well as Frank family photos and a diagram of the factory and the secret annex. Students will learn some historical facts and gain general knowledge of the Holocaust and the Second World War, but their primary focus will be on Anne and the Frank family.
