Um die Endlösung : Prozessberichte über den Lischka-Prozess in Köln und den Auschwitz-Prozess in Frankfurt/M.
Hirsch, born in 1907 in Krefeld, escaped Nazi Germany in 1937 and emigrated to Israel via Sweden. In 1949 he returned to Germany, where, as a life's task, he began to report on Nazi war crimes trials. Mentions the trial of Kurt Lischka and his two assistants, who were responsible for the deportation of 73,000 Jews, among them 4,000 children, from Drancy to extermination camps. The trial took place in 1979-80 in Köln; Lischka was sentenced to twelve years in prison. Traces, also, the first Auschwitz trial (1963-65, Frankfurt). The 2001 edition contains additional material - on the second Auschwitz trial (1966, Frankfurt), the euthanasia trial (1967, Frankfurt), and the Majdanek trial (1975-79, Düsseldorf). 1. Aufl. 270 pages : facsimiles ; 20 cm
