A collection of documents illustrating the editors' thesis [in their book "Vordenker der Vernichtung" (Hamburg: Hoffmann und Campe, 1991)], that German technocrats saw in the reduction of the population of Germany and Eastern Europe - through transfer and eventually extermination of the Jews - a first step to the solution of the region's economic problems, caused in their view by overpopulation.
