Memoirs of the author (born in 1913 in Salonika), recounting his experiences under Nazi occupation in Salonika, the deportation to Auschwitz, and the loss of all his family. During his first month in the camp he was first violinist in the prisoners' orchestra in Birkenau; after that he was employed as an engineer at the Weichsel-Union-Metallwerke. He survived the death march in January 1945 and imprisonment in Mauthausen. 1. Aufl. 108 pages : illustrations, maps ; 21 cm.
