Unerbetene Erinnerung : der Weg eines Holocaust-Forschers
An autobiography of the historian of the Holocaust, who emigrated in April 1939, along with his parents, from Vienna to the U.S. via Cuba. Most of the book discusses the conceptions behind his work, the archives he used, the problems of publication, and the criticism directed at him especially because he concentrated on the perpetrators rather than the victims, and because he wrote about the Nazis' use of Jewish community leaders in the administration of the Holocaust and did not sufficiently stress the heroism of Jewish resistance. also refers critically to other historians of the Holocaust. "Das Manuskript "The politics of memory" wurde in englischer Sprache verfasst. Vom Verfasser autorisierte Übersetzung."--Title page verso. 175 pages : portraits ; 22 cm
