Memoirs of a Jew born in Vienna in 1909. He figured in the lists of the second transport from Vienna to Nisko in late 1939, but forty hours before departure he fled to Yugoslavia. For the duration of the war he functioned with an expired German passport which was delivered to him by a German major in occupied Yugoslavia. He also traveled to Italy, staying in the Republic of San Marino. Relates how he managed to survive by inventing creative ways to earn money. Includes an introduction (p. 6-9) and an epilogue (95-103) by his friend Walter Grab. 106 pages : illustrations ; 23 cm
