A collection of brief memoirs by Holocaust survivors from Ukraine. Some of the accounts appeared previously in the Ukrainian press or elsewhere. Mentions events in Bar, Berdichev, Bershad, Chernovtsy, Chudnov, Kamenets-Podolskii, Kiev, Korets, Mogilyov-Podolskii, Odessa, the Pechory labor camp, Shargorod, Tulchin, Uman, and other places in Ukraine, as well as in Pinsk, Belarus. Two of the eyewitnesses are survivors of Auschwitz. Many of the survivors emphasize that they were rescued by Ukrainians, sometimes - by Germans.
