After the reorganization of districts in 1949, the district of Vlašim was established within new borders and became part of the Prague Region. The district national committee was headed by a chairman and a council. Its activities ended on June 30, 1960, when the district of Vlašim ceased to exist and its territory was embodied in the district of Benešov.
