Jewish issues can be found mainly in the books of records: changes in religion, trade registers (a large number of small Jewish merchants and traders, also owners of larger industrial enterprises) and related trade files. Another great source of information is the census for the entire district of Milevsko, which, with a few exceptions, has been preserved from 1869, 1880, 1890, 1900, 1910, and 1921. In the file handling 1868-1905, the affairs of Jewish religious communities are included in religious matters and in other file handlings (1906-1936, 1936-1941), the district Jewish issues have a separate number. There are also minute pieces of information on Jews in the presidium files of the district office. The district governor's office began its activities in 1850 for the judicial districts of Milevsko, Bechyně and Sedlec. In 1855, the district governor's office became a mixed district office for political and judicial administration, with jurisdiction over the Milevsko judicial district. In 1868, the mixed district offices were abolished; in Milevsko, a district governor's office was again established for the judicial districts of Milevsko and Bechyně. In 1918, a new name of the office was introduced - Milevsko District Political Administration, and from 1928, Milevsko District Office. On June 1, 1942, the district office was abolished and connected to the district of the Tábor District Office. In May 1945, the Milevsko District National Committee was established.
