Erich Hirschowitz: personal papers

Erich Hirschowitz was born in Berlin in 1909. He studied economic and social sciences at the Handelshochschule Berlin, University of Frankfurt-am-Main and in Paris. In 1933 he emigrated to Paris via Amsterdam. <p>This collection contains the personal papers of Erich Hirschowitz, a German Jew who emigrated to Paris as a refugee in 1933.</p>Included are his school and university qualifications; French identity card; speech held by Erich and Ernst at Adele and Bernhard Hirschowitz's wedding in 1932 and notes on his experiences in exile in 1933.
