Richard Burnett collection

This collection comprises the personal papers of Richard Burnett (formerly Behrendt), a former Jewish refugee from Berlin who emigrated to flee Nazi persecution.The collection includes his birth and naturalisation certificates, family photographs, and Leo Mayer's membership card of the stock exchange Berlin ('Börsenkarte'). Richard Burnett (formerly Behrendt) was born in Berlin in 1910. His parents were Hugo and Augusta Behrendt (née Mayer). The exact circumstances of his emigration are unknown.
