This collection comprises personal and family correspondence; correspondence and papers regarding the assistance given to a number of Jewish refugees fleeing Nazi Germany, particularly relating to Professor Raphael Sokolowsky Jack Barden (-1978), a Jewish businessman in London, assisted a number of Jewish refugees flee from Nazi persecution before and during the war, in particular Professor Raphael Sokolowsky of Kalingrad (formerly K<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif, "Times New Roman"; font-size: 10pt;">önigsberg), whose ultimate fate is not known.</span> Open
