Kurt Waldheim: Copy documents re war time activities

The papers in this collection were gathered during the course of research for a Thames Television documentary on Kurt Waldheim's role during the Second World War. The latter had become the subject of some interest since early 1986 when Waldheim's candidacy for the office of Federal President of Austria was made known. <p>The bulk of this collection consists of photocopies of documents with their translations which record Waldheim's activities not only in connection with the above events but also with other war crimes committed by the Nazis in the Balkans and Greece (the latter presumably was insufficient to implicate Waldheim).
