Albertos Nar was born in Thessaloniki and never left his city until his death (1947-2005). He was son of Holocaust survivor. He studied at the Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki and worked as Secretary in the Jewish community. Director of the Historical Centre for the Study of the Judaism in Thessaloniki and member of Cultural Societies, he wrote books on the history and culture of the Jews in Thessaloniki and articles in the local newspapers. A finding aid is avaliable in Greek.
