Documentation of the Ehemaligen Heersarchiv (former German Army Archive) from the Osoby Archive in Moscow, 1939-1945

The collection includes various materials from German Army units, mainly of the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (Supreme Command of the Armed Forces-OKW) on various matters, including operational reports, matters of leisure, finances, administration, military justice, personnel, supplies and equipment, weapons, uniforms, medals, logs and letters of fighters (many letters that have been preserved in a number of files) and more. Additionally, it contains editions of the journal, "Nachrichten des Oberkommandos der Wehrmacht".

One of the files (at the end of Microfilm JM/29055) contains reports regarding interrogations of Soviet prisoners from February 1945, including lists of the prisoners. In another file, preserved along with the soldiers' letters and postcards, there are also many photographs of soldiers, family and places on the front. One of the photographs (Microfilm JM/29056, Scan 1844) shows corpses, apparently of Jews.
