Documentation on matters pertaining to administration, finance, personnel and service conditions in the SS and the Waffen SS from the Osoby Archive in Moscow, 1936-1943
 
 Among other items, the collection contains correspondence, circulars and guidelines of various bodies within the SS and the Waffen SS regarding matters pertaining to administration, finance, personnel and the service conditions of their people. In the material there are reports regarding promotions and postings to new positions; general guidelines concerning SS and Waffen SS personnel and their service conditions, some of signed by Himmler himself (some of the guidelines sent by Himmler, as well as guidelines from the Parteikanzei [Nazi Party Office] signed by Bormann were transferred through the SS Hauptamt [Main Office] along with guidelines and explanations of Gottlob Berger); the construction of camps and facilities, including construction plans (including Auschwitz as well); standard forms; supplies (clothing, food, office equipment and so on, and even daggers); guidelines regarding training exercises (physical fitness, weapons); disciplinary and conduct investigations; courses and vocational training, including training and study facilities); medals; horseback riding; vacations, recreation and more.
 
 Among the guidelines are those related to the behavior of SS personnel in their private lives, for example the sending of Christmas greetings, the names of the only clubs at which they are permitted to dance in uniform and so on.
