The overall majority of the files in the collection are private files of Jews and Jewish families. The files include much information regarding the confiscation of the Jews' property, mainly after deportation to the East or emigration. The collection also has lists of property (including detailed lists of personal property) and tax reports. In many of the files there is also information regarding the deportation or emigration, and there is often information as well regarding the fate of the Jews after their deportation. On occasion, the files include correspondence regarding claims for compensation after the war.

The collection is an important source of information regarding the living conditions of the Jews during the Nazi rule and the Aryanization of their personal property.
