תיעוד מה-Bezirksausschuss/Bezirksverwaltungsgericht Berlin, שנים 1932-1941

District Committee / District Administrative Court Berlin
The capital Berlin separated in 1875 from the Provincial Association of Brandenburg and, according to the Provincial Order of June 29, 1875, formed together with the adjacent areas a city district. With the Administrative Court Act from July 3, 1875, each district obtained a District Administrative Court at the official residence of the district president.
According to the Law on General Administration of July 30, 1883, Bezirksausschuesse (district committees) were set up to standardize the intermediate authorities, and to these administrative authorities were assigned the responsibility for decision-making and, as district courts, the responsibility for administrative tribunals. In Berlin, it consisted of two organizational units, with Abteilung I (Department I) responsible for the police affairs of the city district of Berlin and the surrounding cities of Charlottenburg, Lichtenberg, Neukoelln and Wilmersdorf completed, and Abteilung II (Department II) for all other matters.
The "Law on the Adaptation of the Provincial Administration to the Principles of the National Socialist State" of December 15, 1933 eliminated the district committees. The still existing administrative court took over the jurisdiction in administrative disputes and was attached to the Construction and Finance Directorate. The police president in Berlin took over the responsibility for decision-making matters.
The stock kept in the secret state archive was destroyed in the spring of 1945 in a fire in the depot. The files, which were still in the registries of the district administrative court after the end of World War II, were sent via the Geheime Staatsarchiv (secret state archives) to the Landesarchiv (provincial archive) Berlin in 1953. Another remaining part was passed in 2001 by the Brandenburg State Archives to the State Archives of Berlin.
The stock is divided into the repositories A Pr.Br.Rep. 031-01: recent litigation; A Pr.Br.Rep. 031-02: trade inspection; A Pr.Br.Rep. 031-03: older criminal proceedings and A Pr.Br.Rep. 031-04: administrative criminal chamber.
