 The Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging - NSB was established in the Netherlands by ir. A.A. Mussert and C. van Geelkerken in 1931;
 The rise to power of Hitler in Germany in 1933 contributed to the large rise of the NSB in the Netherlands; the NSB joined the government as a fascist party in 1937; during the war, the NSB was the main political partner of the German occupation authorities; Seyss-Inquart declared the NSB as the only legal party in the Netherlands in 1941; the NSB established departments such as the: 
 Weerafdeling (WA), Nationale Jeugdstorm, de Nationaal-Socialistische Vrouwen, Landwacht, Agrarisch Front, het Economisch Front and Opvoedersgilde;
 
 In 1943, the Dolle Dinsdag committee activated the Germans in the Netherlands, the Secretarie van Staat, the organization responsible for the training of NSB members for the leadership of the state;
