Soroca County Tribunal

Policy guidelines of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Finance of Romania; cases of holding elections to the Romanian Parliament; voters' lists; decisions of the criminal, civil and commercial tribunal; orders of the presiding judge regarding the composition of the tribunal; personal files of officials, and employees of the tribunal; criminal and civil cases. Common affairs of the tribunal; personal affairs of officials of the tribunal; statements on payment of salaries; cases on determining the date of birth; cases on establishing the fact of marriage; cases on divorce; cases on approving the division of property; cases on the return of illegally assigned property; rulings of the tribunal to impose a ban on property until the repayment of debt obligations; cases on establishing the amount of debt by a bank to landlords’estates alienated on agrarian reform; cases on approving wills, on approving sales act; copies of notarial acts approved by the tribunal; registration journals of private enterprises; decision registration journals of the criminal tribunal, county private property registration logs, etc. Public access, no restrictions on access According to the decree of the Government of Romania no. 2770 of October 9, 1918, in Bessarabia there were established county tribunals. They were engaged in the inspection of criminal and civil personnel, with the exception of crimes committed by minors. The tribunal could also verify cases as an appellate inspection, re-examining the plead innocence. Cases were referred to the district tribunal in court only if the perpetrator lived or committed a crime in the district/county. The tribunals were divided into two sections: criminal and civil. Based on the amendments of December 25, 1926, those cases in which no final decision was reached within the framework of the tribunal could be referred to the Court of Appeal in Chişinău. The judges of the county tribunals were appointed by royal decree on the proposal of the Ministry of Justice. Similarly, there were appointed prosecutors and secretaries of the tribunals.
